    .54 GPR arrieved today!!!

    OK I got curios and checked.Barely grazed the rib on entry and missed it on exit.This was a pure lead ball I cast from roofin lead. entry exit

    Yep it's a Lyman GPR.I knew the gun would kill an elk at 100 yards but I honestly never expected a complete pass through.The meat is in my inlaws locker and I will look at the rib cage tommorow and see if I hit 1 or 2 ribs and get back to ya.I do know for sure that there was not a huge hole on...

    I shot an elk yesterday at 100 yards with a 54 cal. roundball 90 grains 3f and it passed through both lungs and out the other side.She went 20 yards and died.Same thing with the doe I got yesterday morning.75 yards same gun and load,she went 10 yards and died.

    Grouse?

    Nice pic. :hatsoff: Never hunted grouse with a ML yet but I got a funny story.My wife and I were elk huntin and I saw this grouse at the base of a tree.Me being the great hunter I am :bull: tell my wife watch this I'm gonna get us supper.So I grab about a 2 foot stick and try to sneak up on this...
