    Tarp shelter set up style

    I use a 12'x12' tarp usually as a lean-to. This weekend though I'm setting it up as a diamond fly. You can set it up at least 4 diff. ways. Like pieman said just set up to your needs. :front:

    Shredded hemp for tinder?

    Rusty, I used hemp in quite a few of projects. Never thought of using it as tow though. Try it, and then run a patch down it and see how dry it is. If it works you should have some good fire starter there when it dries out. Let us know how it works. :front:

    Found an old Navy Arms Zouave...

    In the dixie gun works catalog they show that all the mil. guns of civil war shoot 60 gr. FFg with an .015 patch . If it is a zouave i've never heard of a carbine one. It just might be a frankenstein. :front:
