    Mule ear actions

I once had one of the Navy Arms Mule ear rifles in .36 caliber. I hav kicked myself many times for trading it off to a friend. It used reqular 1/4-28 nipples and was very accurate. I haven't seen one of these for a while though.

    Belgum flintlock

I was just looking at my old Shooters Bible and they also listed a model in 4 bore. That would be a good paperwad shooter.

    Belgum flintlock

I was at friends house this morning and he had just bought a flintlock that resembled a brownbess musket. It was about 12 Guage. I remember seeing one like it in an old Shooters bible fron 1959. Would this gun be safe to shoot. It doesn't look like very good quality.

    Less expensive .36 round balls

Recently I was at a local gun shop and saw a box of Hornady 000 buckshot for $7.99. I got to looking and the diamiter of these little round balls was .350. I thought, what the heck I might as well try these in my >36 rifle. They shoot great. I figure there is probaly about 1000 shots in...

    Ahm a Pyrodex Man....

I found several cans of old P grade Pyrodex at a local hardware store a couple of moths ago for $7 a pound. The cans were made of cardboard. I have tryed loads out of each can and they seem to work great. I shoot P grade in my Senneca .36 and .45 with great results.

    4 bore flintlock

I found an old 1959 shooter's bible the other day and it advertised a 4-bore flintlock rifle. The ad said it was an elephant gun and had a Napolionic lock. Does anyone out there have one of these. I would like to see a picture.

4-H Club Muzzleloading What is Involved?

I have been involved with the 4-Shooting Sports program here in KY and have found it to be a great organization. It is centered around all of the shooting sports and no just muzzleloading. If you want to get your kids involved, you should be able to access your state program on the web. If...

    Jukar Spain .45 Cal

I bought a CVA Hawkin a while back that didn't have a ball in it but the powder charge was solid. I used a homemade fouling scraper to get it out.

    Jukar Spain .45 Cal

Before I went to the trouble of finding a new barrel I would try to clean up the old one. I got a TC in .45 a while back that was as you discribed. I bought some Scotch-Brite pads from the hardware store and useing a 1/2" id tube, I cut several disk. I then used a small punch and made a hole...

    Patched Conical Pic

I had some .44 magmum hollow point bullets from a Lee mould that I paperpatched for my .45 TC Senneca. They shot fairly well considering I was just tinkering with them. I moulded them out of pure lead.

    Who designed the T/C Seneca

I don't kwow but I wished T/C would start making them again. I have one in .36 and have an extra .45 barrel. Both shoot great.

    .36 conical bullets

I have tried that and my rifle doesn't shoot them very well. I beleive if I got a mould for a hollow based wadcutter and moulded it out of pure lead that might work. Has any one tried that?

    History of Mule Ear locks?

Does anyone currently make mule ear locks. I had a .36 cal Navy Arms when I was a teenager. After I joined the Army I became interested in spray and prat rifles and like an idiot traded it off. I would like to build another.

    Barrels for Seneca?

You can find some exellent muzzle loader deals at pawn shops. Most people around here want in-line guns to hunt with. Many pawn shop racks have old guns collecting dust because of this. I did see a picture of an old musket the other day that I would like to get my hands on. I believe it was...
