    Cannon Identification? Age, ect?

This cannon is the only one that I have seen so far that looks like it, and the second I seen it I knew that it was probably from the same manufacturer.

    Cannon Identification? Age, ect?

True. Before I posted I sent them an email to see if there was any information specific to the cannon that they could provide for a possible match. I am also going to check out the rust patterns and wear patterns in the morning to see if I can notice some consistancies and similarities. I also...

    Cannon Identification? Age, ect?

I was browsing cannonsuperstore.com and I believe I found this cannon, or at least on that looks and measures nearly identicle to it. The shape and length of the cannon listed are the exact same with just a difference in the bore diameter (they list is as 1 1/4 inch but mine measures 1 1/2...

    Suggest a Cannon

I am looking to purchase another cannon in the next month when I get my tax refund. I am wanting to get something smaller and dont want to spend more than $500-$1000. I prefer older cannons over new production and to be honest it doesnt have to shoot becuase I am a collector of antique cannons...

    '1/4 scale' six pounder

    Real or 1950's ???

Also, one thing I forgot to mention in my first post is that it seems like the barrel and trunion/ring (?) could be two different pieces. From what I understand, older cannons were made all in the same casting. Again, I could be wrong and I would hope someone more knowledgeable comes and...

    Real or 1950's ???

No problem! I actually have a cannon thread of my own that has yet to be answered. However, my cannon has a pretty rough barrel. My guess would be that if the bore/barrel doesn't match the rest of the cannon then its possible its modern. Again, im pretty good with modern(ish) firearms but these...

    Mini Cannon Rework

That is a good method as well as tinypic.com . They don't even require an account and allow you to load pictures directly from your computer. There are plenty of people here to help you out if needed!

    Cannon Fuse?

^I have done business plenty of times with cannonfuse.com and they are exceptional. However, it appears that you live in Europe and im not very familiar with international shipping laws. You may want to send them an email to confirm whether or not you can order depending on your location.

    Real or 1950's ???

I have never seen a fuse hole like that on an antique cannon (doesnt mean they don't exist). Also, I could be wrong but the casting looks somewhat modern. Im not an expert at all, just an observation. What do you mean when you said the barrel looks machined? Is it rifled?

    Carriage expense?

I was just wondering why cannon carriages were so expensive? I have seen regular sized carriages sell for $3000+. It doesn't seem like much money is invested in the materials and the skill and labor required to put one together doesn't seem that complicated. It seems like a very lucrative job...

    New mini cannon

Great looking cannon! Its definitely a project I am considering for the future. I have plenty of display cannons but something I could bring to the range with me is something that definitely appeals to me. Its very clean cut and for the price you got an excellent deal!

    My fathers old cannon.

I don't have an opinion on how old it could be but it looks great and its history should make it something you should certainly treasure. Definitely a great item for the man cave and something you should be proud of.

    Cannon Identification? Age, ect?

Alright I might just be my computer or something. Anyone have opinions on the cannon? Or try to point me in the right direction to identify its age? By the way here is another part of my "cannon" collection.
