Tang size for New Englander Thompson Center

I need a tang for my .54cal Thompson Center New Englander. There is one currently on ebay that lists the size as 15/16. Is there more than one size tang for this model? If so how can I tell which one I need.

How to fill holes on T/C white mountain carbine barrel

I will try that. Just hate to file cause I know I will take some bluing off. But the previous owner did not take care of it as it has rust spots on it. If I knew how to take bluing off I would rust it.

    Using FFFF hunting/shooting

At least for the time being I am having trouble locating FF and FFF black powder. I noticed the chart that came with one of my rifles shows a drop of 5 grains in the load from FF to FFF. If I have to use FFFF in the charge can I just drop the charge 5 more grains and shoot with it?
