    Replica Arms Wesson .45

Looks like the bore is about ..452 & groove about .457. I haven't tried loading it yet.

    Replica Arms Wesson .45

This is a different rifle. The barrel is 7/8" across the flats & 26" long.. The lock is weird too. You have to set the trigger to cock the hammer. I got a LEE .454" 298gr Minie mold to try.

    Replica Arms Wesson .45

Any of you folks have experience with one of these? I traded for one some time ago. Looking it over, I figured out it had close to a 24” twist so have not even tried round balls. Got in a LEE 300gr Improved Minnie mold & plan to try those when it cools off enough to enjoy a day at the range...

    T/C Renegade / GM .58

Arkansas has a late ML season 12/15-17. I have hope & two tags left.

    T/C Renegade / GM .58

You're right! Guess I was thinking about smaller calibers. 120gr Schuetzen FFg with a swaged .570 rb does 1460 @ 10 yds with good accuracy & all the recoil I want. Serious BOOM. I need to get out with a good rest & see what it does at longer ranges but it shoots real good @ 30 yds from an...

    T/C Renegade / GM .58

Fired a couple rounds @ lunchtime today. 90gr Schuetzen 2F/.018 pillow ticking/ Speer .570. Seemed pretty mild but cut the same hole @ 25 yds. Gotta get out for a full blown range session with the chrony & sandbags. I'd like to get to 1800 fps with minute-of-deer-heart accuracy to 100 yards with...

    T/C Renegade / GM .58

Just got this T/C Renegade w/ a Green Mountain .58 RB barrel. Anxious to get some range time with it; ought to be a great shooter!

    Uberti Cattleman

    Oops! My bad.

    Uberti Cattleman

I ran one cylinder through it. Seems like it wants to shoot & I'm anxious to get serious with it. One thing; your face gets peppered a little. I'll wear my glass lenses next time so I don't mark up my plastic glasses. I thing this would be a great candidate for a conversion cylinder. Anybody...

    Uberti Cattleman

Any of you boys shoot one of these? I just picked this up & am anxious to give it a spin. Don't know what it's really good for but I think it's cool. Underpowered for deer & overkill for squirrels but ought to be fun.

    Ready for M/L deer season

He came by about 8:15 this morning going after a pack of does that I didn't see until afterwards. Shot him slightly quartering away at about 60 yards through the lungs & he took a few steps & fell. He stunk bad until I got him cleaned up. I dropped him off at the butcher shop & picked up the...

    Ready for M/L deer season

I killed a pretty good 9-point this morning  Pics to follow when I get back from the butcher shop.

    Ready for M/L deer season

I'm a happy hunter! .495 PRB did good; broke a rib going in, creased the liver, centerpunched the heart, & made mush out of the lungs. My 1st M/L deer :) Pressure's off & I can relax & enjoy my hunting.

    Ready for M/L deer season

I got out for a short session to verify my zero & grouping with my "Project Hawken" (Cabela's Hawken w/GM .50 RB barrel). Here's 3 @ 50 yards: 75gr SWISS FFg, .495 Hornady swaged ball, .018 patch w/homebrew lube. She'd been loaded since Monday & went off fine. AR M/L season starts Satuday...

    Sure-fire loading technique

I started shooting muzzleloaders over 30 years ago when I built a flintlock pistol kit while going to college, & hunted with only frontstuffers for some years(flintlock squirrel rifle, caplock shotgun, & various caplock "Hawkens" but got away from it for a while. I'm back big time & am anxious...

    Broke my OA

I'd be tempted to mill a small dovetail in the bottom of the barrel & make a catch to fit.

    Walker on the way!

Hey TLAR! Thanks & good to hear from you! I just gave that thing a light polish with Mother's & it's just a beautiful piece. I can't remember being this hesitant to shoot one. :shocked2:

    Walker on the way!

"Lucky" doesn't even come close! Not just a(n?) Uberti; this is the charcoal blue version! :) I'm almost at a loss for words; it's just stunning. It'll almost be a shame to shoot it but I will :shocked2:
