I am intrested in building a large caliber smooth bore matchlock. My problem is the only smooth barrels I can locate are Colerains at 42". Any ideas were I could find a barrel closer to 50"

Thanks

You may give them a call, they made a 48" barrel for me.

You might also wanna try W.E. "Ed" Rayl.
He makes "extra-long" barrels too. He made a 50" swamped full octagon rifle barrel for my LOTM "Killeer" rifle.
I lost his phone number and address, but maybe one of the other members has it.

Charlie of Flintlocks inc., from right here on our forum, made my 48" tapered octagon to round smoothbore and 44" rifled barrels. I'm extremely pleased with both. I imagine he'd do a longer one. He'd probably like it!

PM "dixie" and talk it over with him.

(Longer is better!)
