Today i finish a shooting bag for a friend and a leather gun case for my long guns
Actually, these were my winter projects this year here at our winter home in FL. Keeps me off the streets most days.
While I was never asked to leave the range years ago an older gentleman, who was about the same age as I am now, used to become visibly agitated at my smoke. He could be overheard grousing about those #$%* muzzleloaders. I used to get a kick out of it. He was a regular and I ran across him several time for a few years. Today I still get rebuffed for my smoke but mostly it seems in a friendly, teasing, manner. Actually my smoke draws more positive interest than complaints.

ok so my wife was right! It took me a minute or two to see it.
So my flintlock is named Chinook after the winds we get here, and this rifle is now "iinii" which is Blackfoot for buffalo.

I'm thinkin $20.01Piddling in the shop again and made a 50 grain measure with a piece of copper pipe, a penny and an eye screw. Purty shore this should be worth about twenty bucks!

Man, a lot of folk are going to look at that and decry it for being so plain. But fella, you got me salivating! Good protein, a bit of salt and pepper, and that beautiful brown biscuit. I'm not even going to ask - I know it tasted soooooooooo good!

It was…. Salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder and just a little white pepper. I use that combo on venison, beef and pork. Delicious!

I successfully managed to acid etch a brass sideplate. Not overly deep....my masking was starting to break down .....but still enough to call it a success.
