They are wad cutter bullets for target shooting. Usually used in a .38 caliber handgun.

They are way to heavy for that .358 wad cutters are only 158 gr. Now if three of them weigh 1.08 ounces, I say you are correct.

Maybe they are P++ .38 Special wadcutters.
He did say ounces 16 of them, probably just missed the decibel point.

Agreed, I can't imagine a 5 1/3rd ounce bullet shot from the shoulder. That's about a 3 Bore conical ... Yikes!
