After practicing on a non functional horn, I decided to nervously carve on my horn today. It’s a little deeper than regular scrimshaw, I used a nail with a dowel handle. I wanted it to look good but somewhat crude as if it were done around a campfire. I think it looks OK 
. It was supposed to be not perfect. Wonder if any surviving horns were done semi crude, anyways I’m happy with it, I used a fine tip sharpie and sealed with beeswax…

Finished a belt bag late, late last night and posted it here in the for sale section early AM, working on another new design and pattern today. high of 40 today and don't feel like being cold out in my off grid shop working on the WR, no room for a wood stove in it and the Big Buddy only runs so long before the CM detector in it shuts it off, thinking this summer I need to get a diesel van heater and install it in my generator shed and duct it into the shop, have seen some great reviews on them on the TUBE.

nope, going to stay at home and play dungeons and dragons with family and friends
Enumclaw is a 5 hour drive each way.
While I would like going to such an event, I ain't spending 10 hours in the car to do it.

Loaded the car up with two 45s and all the shooting gear for I and visiting grandson to hit the range this afternoon. Threw in some fishing gear to try a few casts along the way. Never got to the range! Kept four and released 35. Never got to the range.

I put things "some place safe" and never, ever see them again. "Some place safe" must be the biggest room in the house. But I have no idea where it is.
Well not today but Monday anyways..... Went hiking on the Peace River and took the 1863 and shot a cylinder.

A pair of 1880 shotgun locks arrived on eBay, usual supplier Not quality but they will work
Ha ha same for me and wife opened , oh!! Not more gunny bits. I keep a couple of shotgun locks 1885 as I have added a percussion hammer before now. And the main spring fit and are much better on L&R locks. Of course eBay. Won two the other day no hammers £19. And new just arrived via the wife with hammers £25 She will get over it, guess at 80 she still loves me.
She married me a very gunny man and hunter in 1968 been trying to change me since then
My love to all your wives , bless them

Ps You might say shotgun , the locks don’t have a safety notch, but that’s no always so, the swiss Feldstuter 1851 did not have a safety notch on the tumbler , probably as military, however it did have a set trigger making up for the loss, however I do have a private purchase one and that has two notches on the tumbler
