I found some of the patches after shooting my GPR the other day and they had a hole in them. I realized that there was a sharp spot at the muzzle. Just smoothed it out, short started a ball and pulled it to check the patch. No cutting! Gonna head to the range after the Easter stuff and see if I can shrink the 4" 50 yard group I got last time now that the patches won't be damaged. We have a 50 yard bench match next weekend and I want to be ready!
Shot my Frontier flintlock .50 this morning. 50 yds off hand in a stiff breeze so overall I’m pleased with results.

CAPTAIN PARKER'S COMPANY OF MILITIA
Captain Parker's Company had a roster of 144 men. Seventy-seven members stood on the Common on the morning of April 19, 1775 in defiance of the King's orders to "lay down your arms". Those men included:
*Sylvanus Wood and Robert Douglass heard the alarm bell from Woburn Precinct and came to Lexington. Although they were not members of the Lexington militia, they were asked to join the assembly.
The battle was really a brief skirmish. Neither Captain Parker nor Major Pitcairn had intended to fire. However, during the confrontation shots were fired. One of the regulars was wounded while 8 members of the militia were killed. Many of those killed or wounded were shot while dispersing from the Common.
Killed: Ensign Robert Monroe (on the Common), Isaac Muzzy (on the Common), Samuel Hadley and John Brown (leaving the Common), Jonas Parker (killed by bayonet after being wounded and firing one shot), Jonathan Harrington (wounded on the Common, died at his doorstep), Caleb Harrington (at the meetinghouse), Ashabel Porter (prisoner from Woburn, killed while escaping)
Wounded: John Robbins, Solomon Pierce, John Tidd, Joseph Comee, Ebenezer Munroe Jr., Thomas Winship, Nathaniel Farmer, Price Estabrook, Jedediah Munroe
Only a few of the militia were known to have returned fire.
Among those known to have fired: Solomon Brown, Ebenezer Lock, Ebenezer Munroe, Jr., Cpl. John Munroe, Nathan Munroe, Jonas Parker, Lt. William Tidd and possibly Benjamin Sampson

I got a good start on a gun vise made with a big cherry board I had laying around.
Ordered the threaded knobs for the bolts that’ll secure the traveling forearm support.
Still need to put an oil finish on it and a leather cushion on the forearm support.

Made it to my clubs range for the 3rd time in less than a week today! Worked with the wife this evening on her rifle shooting and she did really good. We had a blast and I'm proud of the group she shot. It really built up her confidence for our upcoming match.
