This is my great, great grandfather’s shotgun, I’m looking to get her booming again with y’all’s help if I can and if it’s safe to do so. I figured I’d get it ID’d before going to the repairs section of the forums here. Any help is much appreciated!

Gun is a Belgium export in 16 gauge , black powder proof with fine damascus twist barrels , back action locks .For what I can see by images is the bottom ribs is missing most are soldered but some later in the breech loaders are brazed .

Thanks a ton for the data! looks like after a little research on my end that the proof marks indicate this shotgun was made between 1810-1853, its awesome to know how old this gun actually is and where it came from. Thank you!
 
With back action locks it is likely from closer to the 1850 date than 1810.
Thanks Jake! As long as we can ball park it we’re happy, my old man had heard stories about the gun from grandpa but honestly we didn’t have any definitive data.
