Hello, I hope everyone is doing well.

I’ve had my eye on a Euroarms 1853 Enfield rifle musket made in 1981 (judging from the stamp) that looks to be well cared for.
‘However, due to it being 40+ years old I wonder if parts would be available should they be needed some day.

I’d look at it like this.

The locks often need tuning and repairs.

I recently made a spring for an 1803 Euroarms Rifle, as there are no drop in available parts.

Lock parts and rear sights are the trickiest, the other stuff can be made with minimal costs.

Screws, rammers, bands etc. all can be replaced easily with Italian made parts, with some minor fitting.
 
Hello again. I had another question about Euroarms that someone may be able to answer.

The story goes that Euroarms bought Parker Hale’s parts and pieces when they went out of business in the ‘90s.

So who made Euroarms parts and pieces whilst Parker Hale was still a going concern in the 80’s? Where they their own manufacturer?

S&S in NY purchased the remaining inventory of Euroarms parts when they went out of business - they were able to help me with parts for my Rodgers and spencer revolver a few years ago - Try them for parts

Yes, Euroarms bought out Parker Hale and for a time assembled the parts and sold them as "Parker Hales" but didn't stamp the barrels "Birmingham". Perhaps David Minshaw can shed more light here.

Back to parts availability, Euroarms is pretty much in the unobtainium category now although parts from other Italian makers can be massaged to fit and work.
