Johnson Peep Sight

MBS is the only place I have ever found the Johnson Peep. If they are out of stock, there probably aren't any commercially available. Darn...I've always thought about ordering a couple extra for new rifles but didn't do it.

Good peep sights are getting rare these days. Williams makes them that will fit MLs. I have one, they work, but no where close to HC.
Take a look at the Skinner sights. There may be one that fits your needs.
Talked to the guy at MBS yesterday. He said the waxes for the Johnson Peep Sights , should be ready for the castings to be started in a short time , and by April 1 st , the sights should be for sale.

Well there you go @Siringo, another good option for you.
Sight looks good, but would not trust a single screw without some other locking device so sight is not knocked out of position while hunting. To much ‘stuff’ occurs in the field in my experience. Maybe I am missing the second screw or locking method.
A valid concern, although I have not found this to be a serous problem. The wide flat screw provides good security and I use mine in conjunction with the existing barrel sight, so any accidental misalignment is obvious and correctable. One could also install a secondary screw or pin in the tang if desired.
