Its a Traditions St.Louis Hawken .50cal with 28" barrel and 1:48 twist. Sweet shooting guns! I got this for him in kit form and spent the last 2 months slowly going at it as I could. Barrel and tang are completely bedded for a super tight fit. No need to worry about moisture and wood swelling.

LMF Browned everything ( As long as it was steel ) Birchwood Casey walnut stain. The finish is 600 grit and topped off with Birchwood Casey Genuine oil. All brass was buffed with an 800 grit scuffing pad so its not super shiny. This will age very nicely.

I added a german silver front sight ( extra tall ) and then cut a dovetail so I could install a rear sight from a lyman great plains rifle ( non adjustable ). Everything went together great and I think she looks pretty sweet myself.

Installed a Hotshot #11 nipple and added a brass flash cup to keep everything clean when we're out shooting it. Also it came with a derlin ramrod so I ordered and fit a hickory ramrod rod. Much better looking and functions a LOT better than that flexy derlin stuff.

I will have to make a stencil and put No.3 on this rifle as it is my 3rd st louis hawken ive put together.
