    Wood Butt Plate

I know it's been awhile. I have been bouncing back and forth on restocking the Renegade. But i did buy a sheet of Brass and cut out a butt plate. That fits and works pretty good it's just a flat butt plate. Thanks guys

    Main charge question

I found 70 grs of FFFg shot best out of my Green Mountain round ball barrel. I have killed several deer with that load without any problems. When Black powder became impossible to find locally. I stuck with 70 gr's with the sub's. I tried a little more and less but it was kinda if it aint broke...

    15/16 to 1"

I was wondering how hard it would be to buy a Hawke 15/16 stock and fit it to barrel that's 1" across the flats.

Found The Best Front Sight For My Old Eyes.

I have went to a fiber optic front sight. My eyes see red better. And a peep in the rear. It's not a real fine target sight for the best accuracy. But as a hunting sight it works pretty good. I do suffer the last few mins of legal shooting times.

    Switch barrel

Anyone else use a switch barrel setup for hunting. I’m just getting back into muzzleloader’s. And I have my GM round ball barrel and a 56 cal smooth bore I’ll be using as a shotgun. For small game and Turkeys. That’s all I really need but have thought about getting another stock.

    Old eyes going bad

My son is a Ophthalmologist he gave me a little test when he was still in school. Where he poked a small hole in a piece of paper and said look through that. If you can see better you need glasses, well i could. Long story short even after i got glasses and i can see really good now. A peep...

Finally Got Scope on Deerstalker (pics)

IMO its your gun and your hunt. If you can't see to shoot what your hunting. Then why go hunting a wounded animal is way worse than scoping a side lock. You can bet my rifles will go boom and will be able to see to shoot what i'm hunting. Or it will set at home.

    New smooth bore to me.

The reason I used that stack was through my searching,i found Sky Chiefs load to get pretty high prase. And it was made a sticky at the top of this very page. Now i didn't have a nitro card and i'm not really sure if its heavier or just stiffer than my over shot cards or maybe both. I have never...

    Muzzleloader wont fire.

I would think it would have been a good tool to have. What had me stumped was the pic showed it clear. Air passed through when blew through every way there was to blow through it. Even the 243 brush and pic hooked up lol. I wasn't really a pic. I used a tip cleaner for a cutting torch. But...
