    Nipple size?

    Hi, Im repairing an old Tranter revolver by J.Blanch. I have not shoot it yet. It have the original nipples and they have smaller diameter than the caps. Pressing the side of the caps, they stay put but Im afraid of chain fire posibility. Is it safe to shot this way? I tried N°10 and N°11...

    Rifle stock

    I would not use the loading level to steady hold. In case of chain fire you would have a bullet pushing it up agaist the barrel. :nono: Martin

    I love my 51 Navy but would like to improve it. It shoots 10” high. How can I replace the front sight? Is it press fit of screwed? Is there any “traditional” better sighting system? I saw a revolver with back sight on the barrel but I do not remember if it was a 51. Thanks Martin

    bore butter substitute recipes

    I have found that I can replace boreButter for a mix of vaseline+bee wax, fron 40/60 to 60/40 (depending on how hard you like it. It is a wonder lube (put intended), is cheap and works. I have tryed olive+beewax but it had bad odor after a year. JMHO Martin
