It's a genuine old 'boot pistol'. Very neat, wish I had one similar! May find it corroded or rusted in the "flash" area, from the nipple down into the chamber area. Many of them are after so many years.

Dixie Gun Works has boxes of old parts that are not cataloged. It may mean a trip to the store with your pistol and spending some time searching through parts bins on what may turn out to be a lost effort.

Looks Belgium. hammer is there what's broke about it , but there are capable restorers . looks tidy other wise .

If you zoom in tight on the last pic you can see the break in it. I think it’s just barely hanging on. A good TIG welder should be able to fix it up, but that would come with its own set of drawbacks.

As I mentioned in in another similar post to this, only two days ago, these little muff or pocket pistols were made by the tens of thousands between 1830 and the turn of the 19/20thC by hundreds of tiny workshops in Liége.

See - Need help, what is it?

The chances of finding a spare part for it are about as unlikely as you can possibly imagine, and then some. The number 8 on the barrel and action are assembly numbers, to keep the parts of the piece together while being assembled from a tray of similarly numbered parts.

finding a part that will work is not gonna happed. they were all bench made & hand fitted. as said TIG or MIG welded will work just fine.
