I took the rear sight off my TC Hawken and added a tang peep sight. Where can I find threaded plugs to put in the holes lrft from the rear sight removal ?

I think the plug screws are metric. Are not TC's made in Italy? You might want to bring a screw with you to a local gun shop.

I just hid the hole under the sight ramp. I may have filled it with epoxy as well. Long while ago.

If you want to plug them permanently, just use over length set screws with locktite and file them smooth.

Why on earth would one do that???? The devil has a special place in hell for people that use Locktite on gun screws. NOTHING is permanent when you are dealing with gun screws or threaded holes.

They would be 6x48 plugs screws & available from the sources others have mentioned. You will, probably, have to file them to length so they fit flush with the barrel, depending on the depth of your holes. Best to have a screw "gizzie" to do that or just take it to a gunsmith & have him do it.

They won't be too long & they won't need to be filed. They fit flush with the barrel & have just enough lip to stop them when they're flush. Y'all makin' one of the simplest jobs in the world sound complicated & difficult to Rebs.
Agree with @Old Hawkeye and NO LocTite. Will avoid the ‘how do I remove small plug screws’ thread at a later date. I personally use a little bit of Never-Seez when I install them. Does not take much to mess up the screwdriver slot if things get the least bit sticky. How many threads have we had on clean out screws that wouldn’t come out? And as @bubba.50 said, they have a lip to stop them (they are called positive stop screws for a reason) and you will not need a screw ‘gizzie’ to hold them while you shorten them, as they are very short to begin with and designed to be a plug. I use the stainless ones from Brownells. The finish is darker, likely from a heat treat process, and they look good in all barrel materials and finishes in my opinion.
Below is a photograph of a couple in a dark rust browned Green Mountain barrel. I don’t think the stainless looks out of place.
If you or someone else has used Loctite on screws, a little bit of heat will loosen it right up. Doesn't take much, so don't go burning your fingers.
If you've put in some screws and later wished you'd you had used Loctite, get some GFEEN - it will wick in and hold things tight. Until you heat it, or course.
Positive stop screws are often a Godsend - we used to remove fingerprints trying to get screw nubs down to size.

I hated the sights on my TC Hawken. I dovetailed in buckhorn sight and filled the screw holes with 6 48 screws and filed them off flush and browned them. No Loc tite. They've been there 20 years and are barely noticable.

The hardware store will also have small black plastic plugs that can be used to cover the holes. I took off the tang sight on my 1885 Winchester and used them. I actually like them better than a a screw with visible slot.
