[Old E]

Hi folks,
My name is Eric. I’m not new to muzzleloading per se, but I AM new to flintlock. Until recently, I have only owned a Lyman percussion .54 cal GPR, which I purchased many decades ago. However, I have recently acquired several flintlock rifles. Thus I will be seeking any sage advice, tips-n-tricks, etc. I can get from this more experienced.

Flintocks are great fun. I haven't shot a cap gun in maybe 15 years. The trick is to start with a good one and learn the ways of keeping a sharp flint, dry pan and proper priming.

Flint locks are really close to Women. just when you think you have them all figured out something from left field smacks you.
the learning curve between cap and flint is mostly getting to the point of not noticing the pan flash.
shoot, shoot, and shoot some more. each is unique in what makes it tick.
