I use Tracks mink oil also. But I still have 2 tubs of "Dixie Ole Zip" patch grease, which works well also. For my civil war muskets, I use "ole Trappers minnie Lube". When I make my own lube I use 50/50 mix of mutton tallow, and bees wax, I can vary the mixture one way or the other acoding to the time of the year/tempurature.
