.50 to .54 Worth it?

I put my new .54 barrel on in May and have not touched my .50 barrel since. Been winning matches at my local ML club regularly with it. :thumbsup:

My .50 shot just fine. I just really like the .54 caliber. Besides, my Great Plains Pistol is a .54 so now they match.

Necessary? No.
Worth it? For me... You bet.

ps. mine likes 80 grains of 2F, a .020 ox-yoke patch and a .530 ball but I'm not done playing with loads just yet. Have not gotten around to trying 3F in this gun yet.

:haha: When I got started on MLing I was "sold" on the .50 (cus it would be easier to find components). I bought 6 used guns rather quickly being in the frenzy of addiction.

Soonish though I found a .54 barrel cheap for my Renegade and THAT was the end...of the .50

I sold almost ALL of the .50's and am replacing them with .54's....

I cant imagine EVER going back.... :grin:
