    The meaning of "Traditional"

I believe that traditional means to us is preserving a piece of the past . By the only way we can . We as M/L shooters have a fond interest in the past and we want to preserve it. So traditional is preserving the past out of respect to those who lived it :hatsoff:

    Does ball /patch tension

Paul , I shoot Dutchs' method and notice a difference in the sound of the gun it sounds more like a crack instead of a boom and as far as sealing the bore I save my patches after a shoot and they just have a dark spot no sign of pressure leaks now it did get better when i went to 90 grains of 2f...

    Graf and Sons

I don't know much about the new wano but in 1999 here in Alabama the first vendor for Wano in the USA was here in Owen Cross Roads the Luna Tech,INC they quit carring it because of the new Regulations in the US. Anyway I bought 50 lbs in 1999 Since then I have shot Wano only had no problems with...

2f better than 3f in flintlock

you might be right but I though that TNT did not use blackpowder and dynamite did. TNT used a nitro mixture

2f better than 3f in flintlock

I believe if you instead of crushing the powder together you pack the power with less pressure leaving ( however small the grandular size are)some air spaces in between the grains will allow the fire from the ignition to be faster and more effiencent . I agree that there is oxygen in the nitrite...

2f better than 3f in flintlock

Thanks Pletch, I will be looking forward to the results however they turn out ,understanding why things work has been kind of a nitch of mine the flintlock is no different,I hope I haven't offended anyone . It was not my intentions. :v

2f better than 3f in flintlock

Well you are right in one aspect and that is a forge will burn with out the add oxygen but until you introduce more oxygen you can't weld with it. When you circulate air through the charcol you get HOTTER flames in a forge in a flintlock it is the same princeable in a flintlock means faster...

2f better than 3f in flintlock

I never said it was dependent on outside air I said and maintained that a loose compaction of the powder increases the efficiency of the ignition in a flintlock . Why is that hard follow if we have all the oxygen we need to fire the flintlock in the powder then why the do we poke a flash channel...

2f better than 3f in flintlock

Joel thanks for that explaination and the time you took , however with the testing I did with my gun and the improvement that it has made I can't help thinking that I am right on this and until some one can test this and prove it wrong I will just stand my ground with my conclusion One more...

2f better than 3f in flintlock

I have nothing to prove to anyone but myself and sense no one has shot my rirle but me I know that it is better . I found out what I wanted to know I found out that no body has any idea what I am talking about except Paul he got it . The difference I saw in my rifle was that it is more...

2f better than 3f in flintlock

I will try to explain this again I am not talking about increase in velosity with 2f or 3f I am talking more about ignition is it faster and more efficient with 2f than 3f . You really can't compare precussion ignition to flintlock in a percussion the flame is shot into the powder to pierce the...

2f better than 3f in flintlock

I really don't think I am on the wrong track since I begin using the method I am talking about I have had no problems with my flintlock misfiring and that is the only 2 things I have change in the last 3 months . Less pressure on the powder and going to 2f powder has changed everything with my...

2f better than 3f in flintlock

We open up the powder charge thru the flash hole to insure ignition if not for oxygen then why some people say it's for a flash channel if there is enough oxygen in the powder then why bother with it When you load a percussion you compress the charge when you load a flintlock you don't compress...

2f better than 3f in flintlock

I have experimented with the different powders 2f and 3f and I get better results with 2f . As far as the solid rocket fuel if it has a crack in it it will explode. :) ( Pershing missle system U.S Army)
