Stumbled across this package today at a neighbors yard sale. 54 Ca. T/C Hawken percussion with bright bore, 40 Powerbelt 54 cal. Hollow Point 348 grain bullets, 500 #11 percussion caps, Maybe someone could help me on what these are and who made them?-35, 420 grain bullets plus accessory box. $275.

Yeah, Wow! Never found anything that nice at a yard sale gun-wise, but found a large 19th century engraving print of Washington from about 1843 for 20 bucks or so; found same print at a high end gallery for 2 grand. I'll take that muzzle-loading set up any time, though! :thumb:
 
Those look like Buffalo Ball-et, those are the big ones, I tried the lighter version in a 54 1-48 chrome bore and they didn't work well, the remainder got tossed in the pot eventually,
Otherwise GREAT find!, ya got $100 worth of caps alone, ;)

Holy cow. I'm a guy can't pass by a yard sale, and every one I stop at I look for firearms and sometimes even ask if they've got any "old guns" they want to sell, and never, ever came across a score like this. Best I ever did was an old Bushnell rimfire scope for $20. Nice going!!
