Just a personal THANK YOU to rootnuke for his truly above and beyond documentation of his Lancaster build. For those of you who have not checked out his website, you should do so. Not only does it break down a complex subject with clear concise photography, it serves to answer many simple questions with great expediency. Building a 1770 Lancaster is hard enough....to spend the time to place the whole procedure in public view on top of building the gun is a huge service to those of us just getting going. Did you work on the gun for several hours, then type HTML and post photos for several more? You have created a VERY impressive site, as well as a Very impressive rifle! All my parts have been ordered (TOTW Beck M4 stock, Siler deluxe, Coleraine .50 B weight, all the other bits), and I will be referring to your site with regularity. I think I can build the gun...but that website? Not in a million years.
Salutations
