IMO, things like this should not be posted in a wanted post that was started by someone else.
If someone is reading thru another persons wanted post and they see something that they are interested in buying or making an offer on, they should use the forum's "Conversation" (PM) method to contact the person who has made the offer.

To start a Conversation hold your cursor over the person who you want to send it to's name. Click on Start a Conversation. Give it a title. Write whatever you want to say. Click the Start a Conversation button at the bottom of the page.

I think in cases like this, whoever made the offer is somewhat obligated to give the initial poster who started the ad, first dibs.

Does anyone know where to get Old Army parts? Can't find them anywhere...

It has been sold to a previous poster. I have 2 other cap and ball revolvers if you are interested. A fluted cylinder 1860 Colt in .44 and a .36 Lyman Remington with a shorter barrel.

Pics please?

I'm closing this advertisement because it is getting too far off track.
In the initial post Prairie Dog was asking for a Ruger Old Army that was in poor condition. Since then, several others have tried to turn it into their own wanted post. It looks like someone other than the OP has even bought a gun from someone else.

This is NOT the way classified ad's are supposed to work. The ad is owned by the person who made the original post. It is not a collection point for other people to gather and talk about buying and selling things to each other and IMO, anyone who does try to do that is being out of line.

If any of you other people want to buy or sell something, make your own ad. If you haven't been on the forum long enough to qualify to post an ad in the Classified Ad area, give it time until you do qualify.
