Wrought iron Hawk

This hawk is a wrap around with wrought iron on the outside.
The bit is file steel.
Handle is Curly maple with a torch toaste,Then couple coats of danish walnut oil. Need to put some more coats of wax on it. Some copper tacks. I need to etch the blade in some vinger

looks authentic, I'll betcha there was a many hawks made from strap and flat bar stock.

Your hawk looks really good! Maybe it's just me, but I can really picture a scalp lock or horse hair lock hanging from it!
