  • Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.

We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.

Inefficiency of heavy charges is not a reason to discount them. . . . . .
There also often seems to me to be a general assumption that people are shooting at short range - lobbing a bullet with light charges into targets at short range may be effective for N-SSA or other short range shooting. I compete with my Enfield in MLAGB National Rifle Championship Matches and others out to 600 yards, occasionally 800 yards. It's nice to stretch the rifle out at longer ranges and use the range of elevation settings available.
