Yup. Send it to Bobby. It may take a little work to get in touch with him. He doesn't do email, so a phone call is your only option, but he does great work at very good rates.

Whether you can rebore to 58 cal will be dependent on barrel diameter & depth of dovetail cuts, if any. Hoyt can put a liner in as well to give you brand new rifling in 54 if necessary.

I got Jesse from JES Reboring on the phone not too long ago to ask him this very question. I have a 50 cal that I would like to make 54. Jesse is THE man to rebore lever rifles but he recommended I send my muzzleloader barrel to his good friend at The Gun Works in Springfield Oregon.
I was also told to talk to Bobby Hoyt by other folks on the internet.

Those other folks would be correct !!! /Ed

Mr. Hoyt recently rebored a ruined 50 caliber Renegade barrel to 52 For me. I was absolutely stunned by the deep old timey looking round bottom rifling. First two shots 50 were about an inch apart. With a tight patched 515 round ball. The twist is 1-60.
