Careful with an internet search you will probably get ALL kinds of nasty stuf

Whoa, sounds like fun, which sites do you recommend??

Stock whips are not a cheap item. For a medium quality stock whip of 8 to 12 feet, plaited of decent quality leather, expect to pay $150 to $300.

Search "STOCKWHIPS" and "BULLWHIPS".

Most of the good saddle companies also have whips.

Some of the best whips in the world come from Australia and are made from Kangaroo hide, mostly. I understand that Indiana Jones' bullwhip was made here and there are many varieties available ranging from standard stockwhips, quirts, bullwhips and so on from custom makers here in Oz. They are made the same way today as they have been made for the last couple of hundred years. But as the gentlemen above has pointed out, they are not cheap.

If you want to go to the trouble of importing one, I would be happy to put you in touch with some professional plaiters that I know personally.

Best Wishes

Robbo
