I'm assuming these photos are about rebuilding wheel locks, but I know so little about them that I can't tell what's been repaired or rebuilt.

Your photos did cause me to look up and read a pretty good explanation of wheel locks and how they operate for the first time ever...pretty complex little pieces of machinery.

That's impressive...good video...must have been viewed as a huge improvement over the match-lock.

I'd be interested to know how we went from the simplest thing imaginable. The matchlock, straight to the convoluted mechanism of the wheel lock. lol
