I just picked up a used Zouve 58 cal. percussion rifled musket, there seems to be no hardware to secure the end cap, the end caps falls to the floor when ram rod pulled out.

The barrel band is quite loose, not suprised, I will firm that up by shimming with aluminum tape, but is there a fitting of some sort at the end of the hand guard that the end cap screw threads into ?

that hand guard to end cap fitting seems to be missing as is the screw, and I cannot find a picture, the exploded diagrams (no pun intended) of the Zouve and enfield muskets dont seem to be that detailed, by the way it seems almost identical to the 2 band Enfield,

any clear pictures you have would be nice, google image search came up empty, this is my first BP musket so I have some learning to do on it's construction.

thanks for tech advice
