Ok it seems this worked. Tell me what you think of this bag, it features one inside pouch and is unlined. Please feel free to criticise. This is a bag for my Crockett Squirrel rifle and I am thinking of a Jute Strap instead of a leather one. The pattern is my own. Again, constructive criticism is most appreciated.

Its made of 6oz leather witg a felt hunters cross inlaid. Dawns on me that I totally highjacked your thread sorry for that. Thanks for your help with posting pics.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Looks really good to me...stitching looks nice and even and consistent as well. Did you back the felt with leather? Did you include a welt between the front and back pieces of the bag when you sewed them together?

Again, looks really nice!

The flap is two pieces sewn together so yea there is leather behind the felt and yes the seams of the bag are welted. Should I make a leather strap of go with the Jute strap that I am envisioning?

I would go leather and adjustable, but that is just me. I think a jute strap would look good on it as well.
