I just got a Cabela's shooters cat. this afternoon....in it is an Uberti Walker for $449.00

The same Uberti Walker from S&S firearms out of Glendale NY is $348.00 A $100.00 differance!

Don't know why the price difference.

S&S is a great place for many items for re-enactors. Generally fast shipment and fair prices, plus a selection of products not found elseware. A price difference might be because they have no stock of the item ... and generally Cabela's can tell you if the item is availablble for immediate shipment. I'd call/email S&S to ask if the item is in stock and available for immediate shipment.

Cabela's is also a great place, but many local stores do not have/use internet pricing, and there can be a time-consuming wait while the local store checks and meets the internet price. They will, but it takes a department manager approval and some paperwork to check-out at the lower internet price.

Don't expect a speedy check-out!

PS: I hope Cabelas monitors this site!

I think it is a good deal too. Their Dragoons are $318.00. I bought my 1842 musket, rifled from them and they are very friendly and helpful.
