I've been interested in BP for over 30 years. Since I shot my great grand aunts muzzle-loading squirrel rifle at 12 years old, I've been a wantin' and a waggin' and a wishing. Had a CVA, and a T/C mountain type rifle, bought ready-made. I'm gonna try a Lyman GPR .54 kit. If'n that goes well........
My dream of the day is a .54 full-stock flint Hawken, like I seen in an old Hawken Shop catalog. Next week? I ain't decided.
This is a great place for knowledge & inspiration. :thanks:

Howdy, I just joined the forum a couple of days ago so i'm a newbie to. I just wanted to say that i'm wanting to build a flint Hawken to.I am going to try to restock my tc first and if that goes ok i might take the plunge. If I don't see something I like better before then that is. Anyway I just wanted to say welcome.Dew

Anyway, Welcome, from the South!

Helloooo! I was just in Vermont a few weeks ago chasing turkeys. Beautiful country (but a bit steep in places - haha!). Welcome to the group. :hatsoff:

Welcome to the campfire M99M12. Tell us later if you've ever barked a squirrel.
