If you're still reading, I take the corn and peas left in the pot after dinner and spread 'em out on a cookie sheet and place in the oven for a few hours. they dry out nicely, and after a few meals, there's enough for a weekend.
I'm sure others probably do the same, but I thought I'd share.

Never thought of that. Like you said, always some left over. How is the taste? Any noticable flavor left when you add them to whatever you might be cooking?

The taste isn't bad; since the corn is precooked anyway, what you end up with are quite small kernals that are rather salty (I guess there's a rather high percentage of salt in canned vegies). the neat thing is that you can eat right out of the pouch and the flavor is better than parched corn.
