I was on the wait list for about 5 months, but had the gun 2 weeks after I got the notice.

I'm very happy with my rifle.

Yes, and lead time/wait time is a constantly changing thing.

If nobody is ordering anything at the moment they may have it started before you finish giving them your order over the phone.

If "everybody" is ordering then you might wait over a year. They are a pretty small operation..

You should know that the Kalamazoo Living History Show just ended, and the Ft. Frederick Market Fair is at the end of next month, so...., a lot of the builders, TVM included, may be stocking up for those shows thus throwing a couple of months into any incoming orders from now through May, for they will probably come back with orders from the shows not to mention those from across the country

Took me, what, 14 to 16 months to be ripped off by them when I had Matt make me a custom gun. Dave offers sound advice -- don't buy sight unseen from them.

????? I am wondering why you are always getting ripped off----- or everything is so bad in your mind ???????

I hate it when some one gives a negative response, but fails to give any details.

Alden has clearly explained how he was anal raped several times....in fact a time or too to many as last time he was advised to "tone it down". Myself? I appreciate the heads up. Man can screw one customer he can screw another. PM him and he likely be ahppy to clear the air so to speak.
:eek:ff
I once was screwed by a taxidermist and know for a fact I have cost him 20-25 mounts. $20,000.00 mistake he made charging me a late fee of $25.00 for late pick up when he refused to release it when I arrived as it was drizzly. Explained was leaving in AM for 10 day vacation, he said no problem, "I dont want my work to get wet". Then I showed up and paid the late fee? Good move huh?

My order took about 6-7 months if I remember rightly.

You didn't ask, but I will say that if I could do things differently I might. I am pleased with my TVM gun, and it is a really nice shooter. I ordered mine before they increased their prices, but after that change, I'm not sure I'd go with them again. My gun was a little bit clunky, had some minor fit and finish issues, there were some misunderstandings about what I wanted. Honestly I think they browned my barrel when I asked for aged, etc. I just rolled with it because I was excited about my first semi-custom piece and I thought it looked nice, but now I am a more discerning customer. There are comparable makers in a similar price range.

I am building a TVM kit . . no complaints . . .they got it to me quickly, just a few weeks, but I've heard 6 months is common for a complete build.

Mine took about 6 months, maybe 7. It's not here yet because I'm out of town for shipping, but it's built. But not finished. Maybe shipped in another month when I'll be here.

I'm looking forward to it.
