For sale: TVM Early Virginia 58 caliber rifle

Maple stock with some figure * Steel furniture * Sliding wood patch box * 42” swamped .58 caliber barrel with round bottom rifling and coned muzzle * 12 3/4” LOP * Double set triggers * Pristine bore condition, less than 50 rounds fired.

This was a TVM finished gun that I purchased from the original owner. He had only test fired it, cleaned it and put it away. I took off the browned metal finish and gave it a worn gray color, also darkened the wood a bit and finished with low gloss tung oil. At that time I also replaced the sights and coned the muzzle (using the Ed Hamberg coning tool). Shot it a few times and used it in one match. It hits where the sights look at 50 yds using a patched .570 ball and 70g of FFFg.

$1550 shipped in the lower 48. (If you want to pickup at my place in western Kentucky we'll work that out too and knock off some shipping $)
