Question are these locks made by same company or are they made by different companies? The engraving seems to be a little different but the rest of the parts look very similar

The Lyman lock is an Italian copy of the T/C lock with minor changess due to copyright laws & minor differences ‘tween metric and inch measurements.

Some people use Lyman frizzens on T/C’s ‘cause ‘sposedly the geometry is a bit better. And I have used Lyman tumblers in T/C percussion locks. Had to file the sqquare shank down a bit to get the hammer on it.

So what kind of quality are they if I put one on a rifle what can i expect

About the same. May take a minor amount of fiddlin’ with the inlet in the stock. But, that can also happen between two different T/C locks.

I don’t shoot flinchlocks but, if what I’ve been told is true it may even spark better than the T/C lock did.
