Milkman1, I tried the Brichwood Casey’s filler/sealer on this one. I just followed the instructions on the bottle and sanded it down to the wood then used BC Truoil that I thin 50/50 with mineral sprites with one drip of Jap drier. Only mix what will fit in an up turned pop can bottom at a time. Put it on very lightly with one finger and spread it with your hand like you were trying to take it all off. You can put a coat on every two hours and four or five coats will be quite shiny. The filler/sealer worked as claimed but I’ll probably go back to a sanded in oil finish next time, mostly because I’ve done it for 45 years or more and I‘m comfortable that way.
