That is the handsomest T/C Hawken I have ever seen! I especially like the blued lock instead of the usual case-hardened one. Makes a big difference in the overall look and gives the engraving a much nicer appearance.
 
...wow... that's beautiful :thumbsup: ... better be wearing a shirt and tie (pre-1840's obviously) when ya bring that to the range...

Thank you for the compliments, all of you. It is indeed a very nice looking gun. If it's ever been shot it was maintained. The set trigger functions beautifully - the best I've ever seen. As a matter of fact I'm now going to have to go back and work on my CVA Hawken from the '70s as I'm no longer satisfied with it's trigger. Oh, well, it never ends...

I sent an email to TC's customer service address yesterday to see if they could tell me anything about when this model was offered. I'll let you know what they say.
 
Yeah, sounds a bit like mine, although mine has a serial number. I'm going to post my pictures over there as well.
