I have an old 36 Seneca barrel with no breech plug.

The Seneca barrel can be made to work with the Cherokee stock, but the underlugs are different lengths, as are the stocks and the barrels. Plan to do some reworking if you want it to look good.
What happened to the original barrel? If it is only rusted, you can probably get it re-bored and/or re-lined for the same cost or less than that of a replacement barrel. With the parts situation on those guns, you may be surprised at what that barrel will cost!

Still have the original 45cal barrel perfect condition, just thinking of trying a smaller caliber for tree rats
thanks for the info, wasn't aware the two were different, figured it was like a Hawken and a Renegade, same design just different lengths, and widths depending on cal

I got a .36 Seneca a couple months ago and just last week found a .45 barrel for it. Haven't even shot it yet. Don't really know why I bought it as I have 2 other .45 caliber muzzys.
Its in very good shape and if I was offered a decent price for it I just might sell it.
