Thought about getting one but hard to find an authentic repro and outrageously expensive if and when found for sale. Not many out there. So, sorry, can't help. But posted to watch for answer if anybody here has done that.
 
I know it's just me but I think they look silly. Maybe with the buntline 12" barrel it might be better looking. If ya got time to screw the thing on ya got time to find a solid rest and the site radius etc. would be the same? Kinda of a "why" for me.
 
I bought this one on here a couple of years ago, I've fired it wearing oversized safety glasses over my prescription glasses, but I still didn't particularly enjoy the experience too much...And, greatly prefer shooting it without the stock attached. It DOES look cool hanging on the wall of my gun room however...
