I bought a nice Italian .45 percussion rifle. The LOP is too short, and is has a sharp curved brass buttplate that is a literal pain to shoot. Does anyone make like a lace-on pad that would add a little to LOP and cushion the pain of the buttplate when shooting? Or something I could make, even just to use at the bench?

Oklahoma Leather Products makes a “universal” suede leather rifle sling that laces onto the rifle butt. Sold by October Country. It can be modified by stuffing padding into the base of the leather cup around butt stock and tethering it to the stock’s wrist.
