Reduced This is a comparatively scarce Model 1863 Shiloh Sharps sporting rifle in .54 percussion. Many more 1863 carbines were made. It was manufactured in 1990 when Wolfgang Droge still owned the Shiloh Sharps Rifle Company. The rifle is in very good plus condition, with minimal handling marks and edge wear. Metal finish 95-98%. The stocks are not original from Shiloh according to a former employee. Part of a group of rifles sold in 1990 without wood. The shotgun butt has a cheekpiece and steel buttplate. Forestock has Schnabel tip. LOP is 15". Probably not intended for offhand shooting. Weighs 10.3 lbs. The 30" barrel has a mirror bright bore and chamber. It has the standard Shiloh sporting rear sight and silver blade front sight. Very clean mechanics. Eras Gone makes a great original style bullet mold for these rifles. Should be a comfortable and accurate rifle in this configuration. $1500 + Shipping.

Beautiful! And very tempting! I had an 1875 Shilo in 45/70…. Wish I never sold it.

This looks like the same one that sold a few months ago? I'm curious why it took a long time to sell and then back on the market a few months later. I'm very tempted...

Took this as a trade on this forum a couple of weeks ago for a rifle I had planned to sell anyway. It's The Circle of Life!
