Yes, I am very comfortable with woodworking. What would you suggest? I am sure that I could dismantle the entire gun and improve the stock.

Yep, ditto on that. Can't say their guns were 'good' or 'bad'. They imported a lot of stuff from various makers and put their name on it.

It would be easy to shape the panels around the lock and side plate to give them a more defined look, refine the nose of the comb and possibly slim the wrist a little then stain the stock and give it an oil finish. I would be tempted to replace the nose cap with more attractive sheet brass one too. A few evening's work could transform it into an attractive piece.

I refinished one of these a few years back and I'll post a few pictures to give you some ideas. I did a couple of inlays but the biggest change was cutting the one piece buttplate/patchbox/ toeplate apart and fitting them a little better. I also replaced the small toeplate with a larger one and then refinished the whole thing after a little stock reshaping and making the sideplates a little better defined.
