I have a nice cast iron teapot from Ebay but it has been painted black. What is the best way to remove the paint? I have access to a small sandblaster I will try at lunch time.

Burn it off...

SherpaDoug,
Is the paint only on the outside.Do you know what kind of paint it is. If the paint is only on the
outside I would just sit it in or very near to your camp fire and let it burn off. Once all the paint is off treat
cast iron just like it were new.
