Sold pending funds. This is a near excellent condition Armi Sport CS RICHMOND rifled musket. The original C.S. Richmond Musket was manufactured from 1861 to 1865 by the Richmond Armory in Richond, Virginia. This musket was produced in larger numbers than all other Confederate longarms manufactured during the Civil War. This rifle features a .58 caliber barrel, 40" in length rifled w/three grooves, 1 in 66" twist, finished in the white. Bore is bright and shiny. The military style sights consist of three leaf rear, graduated to 500 yards, and barley corn front. The steel triggerguard and barrel bands are finished bright. It has a brass a buttplate and nosecap. The lock is marked 1862 to the left of the hammer and "C.S. RICHMOND, VA." to the right of the hammer. The barrel has the "VP" and the eagle head stamping to the left of the breech. No rust or blemishes. The American walnut oil finished stock is excellent, other than minor scratches on right side of butt. These are N/SSA approved. Out of stock at major retailers. $900 + Shipping.
