I used to take my hand press with sizing and belling dies, & empties to work. Working 3rd shift on slow nights I'd size, deprime and bell case mouths in my Crown Vic.
Not much happens after 0330.
Gentleman i purchased my 2011 from used to reload 38 super at the picnic table outside the fire house he worked at. Got 3000 rounds with the gun. Was my most expensive purchase until recently.

Back in the early 1960's, we used original 1860's musket caps from a century before.

As caps are kept in closed tins, they should be viable for a long, long time.

The only real old primers I have now are "Large Rifles" used in suppository firearms. Bought in 1979.

Bass Pro and Cabelas had Cci 11s and Remington 10s two and a half weeks ago. Was reading it here late one evening and could not believe it so I logged in and Suprise Suprise Suprise they had them with no limit. Allowed you to ship to your local store and that waived hazmat to!!! Christmas in March!!!

bass pro and cabellas don't ship to private residence though? only to one of their stores? I have never seen either store in real life?

I’m sure they do but if you ship to your local store then there was no hazmat fee. My store is only 10 minutes away so I save big time!!!

I have tried cabellas and bass pro before and they did not ship. store pick up only. In this market I could care less about hazmat fee I simply need caps to compete with. I am set for several months at the moment but it seems like you never know if you will be able to get caps in two months ... nearest cabellas is 114miles. nearest Bass pro is 111 miles

Me to this last order I got sets me good for a long time. I do not have revolvers and can see you using a lot for them. I did just get a Patriot and can’t wait to try it out. Other than that I basically just check zeros and hunt. Not slit of target shooting. I guess the most used would be bird hunting with my double!!!

Nick 1, Grafs and Powder Inc has RWS 11s and 11+. Grafs has a 3 tin limit but powder Inc has no limit. They are tins of 250. Very nice caps!! Hope this helps! Reds

I just bought 2k rws from powder valley hence being set for 2 or 3 months..

Got a re stock notification for CCI caps from Academy yesterday so placed my order. They were sold out within 2 hours!

20 shots a day through my Le page My 2k caps last me about 3 months. I am not a hoarder driving the shortage. I shoot them.

I have 10 shot days and 50 shot days but I suspect my average is a little over 20

its is a perfect time for someone with manufacturing smarts to start a new line of caps. make them as good as CCI and RWS , remington etc. Pretty sure that winchester caps are made by CCI??? you could sell as many as you could produce right now. the big fear would be that suddenly CCI and Remington might flood the market and you would lose your shirt from all the set up costs.. BTW CCI told me they ship millions of caps and primers every week. Remington did not respond to my email other than an auto message saying someone would respond to my inquiry ASAP
I have 2 red plastic "tins" with #11 caps manufactured by Fiochi, probably from the 70's? tried a few and they still work! Fiochi still makes all kinds of modern ammo, they are missing the boat not making caps anymore.

I use their small pistol primers for my unmentionables and are VERY good. Would love some of their LR primers.
