I looked in the archives with no avail or I am just cross eyed. Can some tell me the size ramrod for a 45. A 3/8"s dowel seems a little tight in there, so I am athinken a 5/16'S will do. The channel is drilled 3/8"s but I assume that should"nt matter. Thanks Steve

I just pulled out my trusty Starret calipers, and checked the ramrods on both my rifles ( a CVA .45, and a Dixie Tennessee .50) and both measured 0.362, so it appears that 3/8ths is not that far off, by the time you get it sanded and everything.

Hope this helps,

Joel

An 11/32" might fit and should be an eyelash stronger than a 5/16"...

Thanks fellas

I stand corrected as the 3/8 does fit but snug a little sanding the bigger the better. Now to get my thimbles and other parts ordered. :hatsoff:
